Step 1: Who Represents My Campus? Find Out!

Step 2: Call Your Legislator

My name is ________ and I attend school at ________.

I strongly oppose the Governor's veto of $6.3 million or half of the California Student Aid Commission budget to administer the Cal Grant program and other financial
aid.

I support the California Student Aid Commission's very recent action on Sept 3 to restore the Governor's veto.

If the Commission had not acted to restore the funding by assisting the legislature in using special funds for Cal Grants operation, we would not have received our grants for the Spring term and new Cal Grant awards would not have been distributed.

But the governor still has much more power than the Student Aid Commission, and he may still challenge this bold action by reassigning the special funds and working to dismantle the Cal Grant program through 11th hour legislation this week.

*Please join in supporting the Commission's action which has restored Cal Grant program funding. Do not support legislation to dismantle the Cal Grant program.*

More than 300,000 students like me are counting on your continued leadership on Cal Grants so we can keep attending and graduate from California colleges and universities.
